Both cost a significant portion of the city's revenue to operate, so care must be taken to lay them out in the most efficient manner. In any town, a zone is pretty useless unless it is connected to both the power grid and the road network. Three principle types of zones exist: residential, where the sims live commercial, where they shop and industrial, where they produce goods for export If and when these elements are in proper balance, the city attracts new residents. Zoning the land is the most important aspect of the game. To accomplish this, the mayor must zone the land, construct various municipal buildings, build roads and mass transport and provide a power grid for the entire operation. The main goal of the mayor is to get simulated people, or sims, to move to the city. Possible sites are presented one at a time until an acceptable location is chosen, and the game begins. Building a new city requires a decision about its placement. The player chooses one of the fixed scenarios or starts a city from scratch. Turning a small town into a thriving metropolis is quite a task, and it quickly engrosses the player in the life of his own community. This is certainly true for Maxis' SimCity, where the player is elected mayor of a city of his own creation. The best games are often those which break from previous themes for a totally new gaming experience. Touches like these give this game a ton of personality. You have the same ones that the other versions of the game has, but when a monster attacks here it is freaking Bowser and that is awesome! You can even get a special Gold Mario statue for your city if you are playing the game right. One of the most awesome things about this game is the disasters. This guy will teach you as you play, but many of you gamers today will probably recognize him as an assist trophy from Super Smash Bros. First of all, is the games, let's just call him “host” Mr.
If you ask me the real reason that you want to play this version of the game is for the little bits of Nintendo magic that are all over it.

It is certainly one of the aspects I like better about this version of the game than the PC port it is based on. I like how the buildings have a more “Japanese” look to them than the other versions of the game had at the time.

You are tasked with building up a city from the ground up and having it run smoothly and the citizens being as happy as possible. When you really get down to it, SimCity for the SNES is the same game as all the other ports. While this may have some of that Nintendo charm sprinkled all over it. It was also one of the handful of launch titles that were released on the Super Nintendo when the console entered the market in the West. First of all, this was developed by Nintendo themselves. It has been released on pretty much anything capable of playing a video game over the years, but this SNES version is something very special.
